Install the extension

Add SeshTab from the Chrome Web Store. Click "Add to Chrome", confirm the prompt — done in under 10 seconds.

Open with a shortcut

Press Ctrl+Shift+K (⌘⇧K on Mac) or click the SeshTab icon in your toolbar. Pin the icon first so it's always visible.

Save your first workspace

Type "save workspace" in the command palette or click the workspace icon. Your tabs are now saved and can be restored anytime.

Workspaces

Group your tabs by project. Closing a workspace frees RAM instantly — reopen it later and everything is exactly where you left it.

1.Open SeshTab and type "save workspace" or click the workspace icon.

2.Give it a name, colour and emoji (optional).

3.Click the workspace in the list to restore all its tabs at once.

4.Right-click a workspace for rename, share, or delete options.

Tab Snooze

Hide a distracting tab and schedule it to reopen exactly when you need it — in 1 hour, tomorrow morning, or next Monday.

1.Hover over any open tab in the SeshTab list.

2.Click the moon icon or press S to open the snooze picker.

3.Choose a time. The tab closes immediately and reopens automatically.

4.Find all snoozed tabs in the Snoozed section of the popup.

Saved Sessions

Capture a snapshot of all your open windows and tabs at any moment. Restore the full session later — perfect before a restart.

1.Type "save session" in the command palette or click the Sessions tab.

2.Sessions are named automatically with the date and time.

3.Tap a saved session to restore all its tabs in a new window.

4.Sessions can also be renamed or deleted from the list.

A fast keyboard-driven search over all your open tabs, workspaces, snoozed tabs, and actions — no mouse needed.

1.Press Ctrl+Shift+K (⌘⇧K on Mac) to open the palette.

2.Start typing to search across open tabs, workspaces, and sessions.

3.Use arrow keys to navigate, Enter to act.

4.Type a command like "save workspace" or "snooze" to trigger actions.

Automatically detects duplicate tabs and flags tabs you haven't touched in 48+ hours. Runs 100% locally — no network calls.

1.SeshTab scans your tabs silently in the background.

2.Duplicates appear in the "Duplicates" section of the popup.

3.Stale tabs (48 h+ idle) appear under "Idle tabs".

Frequently asked questions.

Will SeshTab slow down my browser?

No. The background script sleeps when inactive and uses a fraction of the memory of heavier tab managers. At idle it benchmarks around 18 MB of RAM.

Is my data safe in the cloud?

The Free tier is 100% local — nothing leaves your device. Pro uses Supabase with row-level security and encryption in transit. Your tab data is never sold or shared.

OneTab is free. Why pay for Pro?

OneTab has no cloud sync and has caused data loss after browser updates. SeshTab Pro backs up your sessions in real time, across all your devices, with automatic restore.

I've installed 5 tab managers and abandoned them all.

Is AI Clustering actually useful, or just marketing?

It groups your tabs by topic on demand using gpt-4o-mini. You can ignore it entirely — the product is still worth it without AI. Nothing auto-applies without your confirmation.

Chrome, Edge, Arc, Brave, and any Chromium-based browser. Firefox support is in beta.

Common issues & fixes.

The SeshTab icon doesn't appear after install

Open chrome://extensions, find SeshTab and make sure it's enabled. Then click the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome's toolbar and pin SeshTab so it's always visible.

My Dashboard shows empty even though I have workspaces

Open the extension popup, make sure you're logged in, then go to your Dashboard and click "↑ Sync from extension" in the top-right of the Overview page.

A snoozed tab didn't reopen at the scheduled time

Tab snooze uses browser alarms, which only fire while Chrome is running. If your browser was closed at the scheduled time, the tab will reopen the next time you open Chrome.

AI Clustering is greyed out

AI Clustering requires a Pro subscription. Upgrade at getseshtab.com/pricing. If you already have Pro, make sure you're logged in inside the extension popup.

Saved workspaces disappeared after reinstalling the extension

On Free plan, data is stored locally and may be lost on reinstall. Pro users are protected — data is backed up to the cloud and restores automatically after reinstall.
